Keep the Benjamin pump?
« on: November 18, 2009, 04:22:13 AM »
I bought the Benjamin Discovery package that came with the pump. I tend to use the rifle with scuba tank and pony bottle, the pump has never been taken out of the box. Would you guys keep it as a backup or sell/trade it ?

You could keep it as a backup if you ever run out of air in your tanks. I don't know how far away you have to go to get a fill. If you don't think that will ever be a problem (or if you have other guns to shoot till you get more air), you might consider selling it. Raising some extra cash is never a bad thing, as you could offset some of the rifles cost, or save the money for a future purchase.

If your tank gets low and you need a top off you could use the pump

Never a bad idea to have a backup pump around.   I recently bought a disco/pump combo that was on sale and kept the pump as my backup pump just in case my other pump goes on the "fritz".
