Eric,
Welcome.
Good start, the "Tuna Trigger" is a must !!!!
To use the gun it as is, or get a tune, or install a gas spring, before you decide, I suggest you do a search on here and read all you can about each choice, so you'll know all about the details good and bad of each, and what's best for your intended use. Like Lillysdad and a few others, I put an Air Venturi gas spring in my 22 Whisper. I love it, but it's not everyones idea of how to go.
If your Gamo scope is not holding zero, your not alone. Many others have had to replace the Gamo scope too. They don't seem to last long. Good news is there are many choices for better ones.
Yeah, the Rapors are fast, but good luck hitting anything with them !!!! When I chrony-ed them in my gun they had the widest speed variation and worst groups of any of the pellets I've tried. They also are rather inconsistant in how snuggly they load into the gun. I haven't measured them with a micrometer, but all that suggests to me they are not made as accuratly as other pellets.
No two guns being alike, you may want to save some bucks by getting a "pellet sampler" pack to help find what pellets work best in your gun.
Paul.
