As Big_Bill said...with a GRT III trigger  most Gamos shoot pretty for their cost.  Of the four Gamos I own...I shouldn't really count the Expotec as it's so old and I shot thousands of bb's out of her....I like my Viper the best; low noise, hard hitter, accurate and great weight....at least for me.
Gamo: Expotec .177 + Big Cat .177 + Viper .177 + Whisper .177, Hammerli Titan .177, Diana model 24 .177, RWS-Diana P5 Magnum pistol .177, Crosman: G1 Extreme .177 + Storm XT .177 + Sierra Pro .177 + 1377 pistol .177, Air Arms S410SL .22, BSA Scorpion T10 .22, FX Cyclone .177, Remington Air Master 77 .177 + BB\'s,

My favorite has to be the very first air rifle I bought...... my  Walmart .177 GAMO Shadow

She has a 3x12 BSA sittin on top and she'll shoot pellets into ragged hole groups all day if I do my part.  She's not fussy about pellets and is still shooting in the low to mid 900's depending on pellets.  She's sporting a shiny GRT trigger and has rid the world of more starlings than I can count.     :D

I liked her so much I bought 2 more when WallyWorld had them on sale for $79 bucks.  I like all my GAMO riles but that first Shadow will always be my favorite....    :D

Walt, yeah some of the guys tell me to stop buying "cheap" rifles and stick with the high end and classics.  But I have so many awesome shooters and I dont' care who makes them as long as they are accurate and fun to shoot.

So mine is my Big Cat.  I have several supposedly "better" rifles in .177 but I can never bring myself to sell this one.  It was my first attempt at a home tune and while I'm not giving any pro tuner a run for his money I think it turned out just fine.  I have great personal satisfaction every time I shoot it.  Yes it is a bit hold sensitive but once you master the "Gamo tender caress" it rewards with accuracy as good as my TX200.  Here's a pic of a 5 shot group at 23 yards. TX on the left BC on the right.

Mike, I really wish all of my airgun buds could experience what I have been able to enjoy with this rifle. There would be a lot less bad mouthing of these Gamo guns if they could. You might be able to find a used 1250 for sale somewhere but of course the Hunter Extreme is the "new" 1250 and they are readily available. The Hunter Extreme that I have is also in .177 (it wasn't available in .22 when I bought mine a couple of years ago). That rifle also spits out the 10.5gr in excess of 1000fps (mine is consistent @ 1030fps) but it is untuned and is not as smooth as my tuned 1250.Someday I may consider selling both of these rifles when the economy improves and I can get a fair market price for them as I recently aquired a UK Webley Patriot in .22cal that was gas rammed by David Slade.(Thanks again to Chris Falquero aka Fatback). It has a little more power than the .177 1250/Extreme and is a dream to shoot. I do love my 1250 though and it is awesome as an accurate, powerful squirrel getter.
