Natchez Scope Sale
« on: March 23, 2007, 07:47:24 AM »
Just got an email sales flyer from Natchez.  They have a BSA 4x32 .22 special with rings for $9.95
This is an air rifle rated scope, I've had one on one of my S1K's for quite awhile and it works great.  It's not AO but it's proved itself to me to be a simple, plain and accurate scope.  Natchez is listing it as "used" due to it not coming in the original box.

The flyer also listed a BSA 4x32 AO scope, listed as "refurbished" for $24.95
It's the same scope they sell new for $29.95.  I was shooting a friends rifle yesterday and he has this scope on his gun.  I really liked the optical clarity and AO functions on his.  I'm not big on refurbished equipment so I ordered the new 4x32 AO  and also ordered one of the $9.95 scopes mentioned above to have as a spare.

I needed a basic scope for my 2nd B-3 rifle and adding the $9.95 scope to the order didn't change the shipping at all so I figured what the heck.  For $10.00 bucks I got nothin to lose.

Anyway, thought I'd list this in case anyone is interested.

I need a scope for my new toy too, and I owe Ed a scope, and I have another gun being built (shhh don't tell anyone) in my garage that'll need a scope, and I bought a gun today, and a pump, and last weekend I spent more than a Gamo on a set of grips for my pistol....someone please buy my QB78 so I can afford to pay for all of this stuff you guys have made me buy!

geez, that's it....I'm outa heeeeeere!

Yea, I'm thinking of building another 2240, except it'll be a 1740....a .177 caliber one.  Nothing fancy this time, just left over parts from other projects and the grip frame I use for grip making.

I think it'll be pretty basic, some Crosman parts like a steel breach, a normal 2240 under that except .177, plan to actually "de-tune" a stock valve for a real slow lazy shooter, then I DO have some maple grip blanks I keep meaning to cut into something...probably the most exotic part of the gun....hehe, I even plan to use stock plastic open sights!!!  Maybe I should start building that in the morning, it'll get my mind off the mortgage payment worth of PCP crap I just ordered that still wont be here for another week:(
