been a while , thinking of gettting and tuneing a TF6
« on: January 28, 2010, 11:33:35 PM »
hey guys been awhile since i have been around .i moved and have traded/sold all my airguns. but i have the bug to get another . i think i am going to order a TF6 from compassco along with a parts kit on Monday. other than a spring compressor what tools am i going to need ? their is a harbor freight nearby were i could get some tools that i will need/don't have . but might take a while to get the cash for the tools .

i want to do a complete clean , deburr and lube tune . is there any thing i could buy local that is a suitable lube ? i assume i need a brake hone to deburr and some lapping compound . what size hone and what compound would you recommend ?

also the video on compassco shows the TF6 to have a leather seal . is that just on older models like the b3 ? i hope it has a leather seal then all i need to get is some neatsfoot oil and i am set there . the gun will be used for indoor (basement) shooting , so i am not sure of what sort of scope/sight to get ? i was thinking of a reviver mounted aperture sight or red dot .

not that I'm any help, but I haven't seen one of those - looks pretty interesting!
