Doves worst Enemy
« on: January 28, 2010, 07:07:43 AM »
The weather has been decent so I have been in my yard getting some projects done.   I , like many of ya'll,  have bird feeders in the yard and one of the many  visitors is small groups of doves.  Over the last few days I have watched the hawks have a field day with them.  And there is also   some sort of falcon diving on the doves.   I watched one dove flying for all he was worth down the road with a hawk just feet behind.   It is really quite a show,  and it starts when the sun rises till dusk.  One dove got hit so hard that all I saw was a explosion of feathers.

Mother Nature at Her finest.

These same hawks ignore the darn squirrels.  Which is good for me.
Gentleman of Fortune.

Hum-bug!
