I have the gun in .22. It does exactly what it says it will. Shoot 14.3 grain pellets at 940fps and 28 grains at about 600fps. Trigger is a weak point but can be learnt with practice. Use just the tip of the finger on nearly just the tip of the trigger. The arm that holds the barrel should be light pressure grip, my thumb ends up just past the finger grove that parallels the barrel and finger tips on the same hand should be in that same grove, except the index, it should land right on the left front side screw.
It is also very accurate with practice. I only have this gun to speak on however, I am sure you could find easier guns to shoot. They may have the same accuracy but not the power to go with it. My stock scope broke after 400 shots and is being replace no hassle. I simply bought better mounts than the supplied ones this time round. I suggest you do the same and save the trouble of replacing your scope. Currently I am looking at adjustable mounts to make zeroing a little easie. Shoots a variety of pellets well: crosman prem pointed, crosman prem hollow, jsb preds, jsb exact diablos, eujins as well both 32 and 28 grain (tight fit though).
This gun will force you to cross all of your t's and dot your i's which is actually what i like about it. Not anyone can just walk up and score well with it. I just started shooting the 10m off hand, open class with it and it is holding its own against much softer hitting .177's.
It is getting smoother as it breaks in a bit, i did fill the stock with spray foam to reduce a lot of the recoil. Also something I should have done before losing the first scope. Do make sure to tighten up the stock screws. The may have oil on them that should be cleaned off to keep them from loosening up to often. That is common on many magnum spring guns.
I have shot at 105 m targets a few times. Wind is a b$%ch at that distance but on low wind days the gun and a beginner shooter like me do just fine.
I haven't put mine on a scale but it is a heavy rifle to shoot off hand, you don't want a gun with this power made of any more plastic than need be so the weight is understandable.
Jsb exacts diablos are the most efficient (27-28fpe).
I would love more people to chat with about this gun so go grab it.
I don't have the gas upgrade, i have read that that is suppose to make the break in period less significant and make the gun easier to shoot (a little less recoil). I figure whenever i finally wear out the spring i may get it then, for the small difference it wasnt worth the 120$ extra.
For the price it is a very very good gun. It takes some discipline, but is worth it. I don't hunt but i have no doubt that if you fire a 16 grain piece of lead at 870 fps at small game/pests' heads, they won't get up!
Join the club, be a leader not a follower go with the Falcon. Just in case you were considering it. The .25 has no more fpe than the .22 and has fewer pellet choices. There is some argument to be made about the size of a wound channel but again, take head shots and it really really doesnt matter.
