Benjamin Super Streak interchangeable parts/after market performance parts

I was looking at some of the parts of my SS today and noticed the piston was a bit on the heavy side. I was wondering if there was any better made pistons or after market machined pistons that would cut down on the weight a bit. Also i noticed a bend in my spring (see pic) I see no signs of cracking of breaking, this was the end that receded inside the piston. Should i replace?

Yes. Call Crosman, they should have a replacement spring for it.

Could have been bent from dry firing or shooting PBA ammo but most likely from staying cocked for an extended time. Yep, you can get a replacement from Crosman fairly cheap. Contact Kim Yaddow at kyaddow@crosman.com or call customer service at (800)724-7486 to get replacement parts. Check the Crosman.com site for a parts breakdown and part numbers.

As for the piston, the chamber and piston in the Benjamin Super Streak are larger than most springers. That's how they getthe rated1500 fps output. The piston is heavy but it takes that weight in order to help generate those kind of magnum numbers. If you attempt to replace the piston for a lighter one, be aware of the possible loss of power. Personally, I like the weight and length of this gun, it helps steady it and make it a powerful and accurate AG. That's MHO.

Thanks, i knew something was wrong when i couldnt stack pellets anymore,. I was looking into the Titan and Ox spring, but i dont see one for the SS. Anyone ever tried to retro fit a Nitro Piston on one of these?

wow! i emailed Kim for the prices of the parts i needed, main spring is 5.70$! Piston is 7.20! Tube cover which i messed up a little trying to get off, 1.00$ breech seal is also a dollar. This is awesome!
