Leaky Marauder...what to do?

The Marauder arrived and it has been surgically accurate for the last few days. However Im noticing that I seem to be losing about 100-200 psi overnight. Have any of you experienced this? I plan on doing the soapy water test on the fill port later today, but that would be the only place I know of to check.

I guess I could send it back to Crosman but I dont want to wait another 2 weeks for it to return. Any advice appreciated.

First off how long have you had it? If not over the return date I'd shoot it as much as I could caues you may just have a seal thats not seated all the way and it may correct itself, if not with the first 30 days I'd return it or take it apart and check the internials myself but if that's not in your ability's your gonna be out, either way your gonna be without a rifle for a while untill it get's fixed or you get part's ang fix it yourself also check to make sure every screw is tight.

Probably the fill nipple,  if not I'd try using the "de-gassing" tool and completely empty the air chamber.  Then air it back up again slowly to full fill.  As Mark suggested it may simply be a seal that failed to seat properly.  Bleeding off all the air and re-filling will often fix that problem....

thanks guys...good idea on degassing. Ive had it since Friday...I could return it but Im kind of hoping that it just corrects itself if thats even possible.

My Air Force Condor had a seal that didn't seat properly when I first got it,,,,, drove me nuts, but once I got it to seal properly I've never had another problem as the air in the tank will keep the seal seated nice and tight....

Some owners have reported that they had a small leak at the air gauge threads. The gauge just needed to be tightened, and the leak went away. From what I remember, some owners noticed it immediately, and others noticed it a little after they started shooting it. I think it kinda depends on how "in touch" you are with your gunz and also familiarity with PCPs helps too.

MY PREVIOUS 2 MARAUDERS HAD AN AIR LEAK.... I RETURNED BOTH.

NOW MY  3RD MARAUDER DO NOT HAVE ANY AIR LEAK PROBLEM.




IMPORTANT OBSERVATION NOTE:

WHEN I RECEIVED THE 3 MARAUDERS:


1. THE FIRST 2 MARAUDERS CAMES WITH EMPTY RESERVOIRS, CERO AIR .....
AND THE LABEL ON THE TRIGGER GUARD HAD A NOTE OF 500 PSI..... I HAD LEAK PROBLEM WITH THOSE FIRST RIFLES.


 2. THE 3RD MARAUDER ARRIVED WITH 500 PSI..... AND THE SAME LABEL ON THE TRIGGER GUARD.
THE 3RD MARAUDER DO NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM OF AIR LEAK AND HOLDS AIR PERFECTLY.


I HOPE THESE FEW LETTERS CAN HELP THE NEW MARAUDER OWNERS.

To add an update to this situation, the rifle continues to leak. Ive called Crosman and they're shipping me out a replacement without any difficulties or drama. I had thrown away the box (not anticipating any problems) and they were kind enough to "pre-ship" a new one for me. Now thats what I call superior customer service...seriously. Thanks for all your advice!
