My Starling Army
« on: February 28, 2010, 12:25:12 PM »
Just a few quick pictures of the family and some of the tools for the war on Starlings. With the warmer weather we decided to have a little fun and take some photos outside. This is the whole family. You should have seen the look on some of our neighbors faces as they drove past during the photo shoot. I can only imagine what they were thinking seeing all of us out on the front lawn holding guns. And we used the self timer so nobody had a gun pointed at them during any of the photos. The kids were all good sports and my wife is very understanding and patient with my air gun addiction.

More like the "Army of Cuteness"! (that's a play on Army of Darkness, for all you non-B-movie buffs).

Seriously nice family. Remind me to never become a starling in a future life. :O

Terrific picture and a bunch to be proud of Dave.

And it looks like you did a good job of teaching them to keep fingers out of trigger guards.

Thanks for all the nice words guys. My everyone in my family puts up with alot when it comes to my air gun hobby. My wife remember when we were first dating and my brother and I would bait Crows in with left of table scraps and shoot them through a barley opened sliding glass door. Now she watches me fidgit around when the chruch ladies come over to visit and all the Starlings make feeder runs one after another. It's all I can do to not hurry the ladies out of the house. My oldest daughter doesn't live with us anymore, even though I occasionally see her sleeping on the couch in the earlly morning hours of weekend morning. But when see did she was woken up more than once by the sound of an air rilfe going off from her bedroom window. All the kids show atleast some interest in hunting, and the wife has gone after deer with me more than once. She prefers to look at them more than shoot them, but to each their own. She wants to harvest a Starling. And she is deadly on paper so I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Anyway thanks again, it was a fun day for all involved.
