The day is starting off very promising, weather excluded. Because the last few days were nice and sunny and very warm, I decided to take Friday off to do some shooting. We’ll as luck would have it I woke up to a few inches of snow on the ground and it’s still falling.
But I would like to humbly say that I’ve started the day of 2 for 2. One regular Starling, (not the pellet proof kind) as he fell at the shot, flapped his wings one or twice and didn’t move after that. Then I tried to pull of a double on sparrows as they were feeding on the ground under the eves of my shed. I had 3 of them perfectly lined up but the shot went high and I took out the middle bird. The one standing directly behind him just stood there for a minute and I thought I may have done it, but he did fly off. Both birds shot at 29 yards with the Summit firmly rested on the back of the wife’s dining room chair. I can only do that when she’s not home. She saw me do that once and told me if I so much as scratched here chair with my gun she would buy a new chair, I tried the old reverse sociology and said if her chair scratched my gun I was going to buy a new one. Don’t try that with your wives guys, it wasn’t good. That stuff doesn't always work like you think it should.
I’ll post up some pics as soon as I put on enough clothes to go and retrieve my 2 kills.
