B26 tune kit info???

does or has anyone done there own tune on the B26 and what spring and seal did you use JM's site says kit is discontinued due to varying in tolerances with each gun but it does make a recommendation to a spring. I would like to get the most out of this gun some day and will not be tuning right away for it is new and would like to just shot it for awhile but would like to order and have the parts on hand for when the day comes.

You might be surprised to know that the stock Crosman Quest piston spring and seal is a very good fit on the B26 with the 25mm chamber diameter. The spring is stiffer and can give you an additional 20FPS just by swapping the spring. The only additional item that you might need to address would be a custom top hat for the Crosman spring. In my case I don't have anyone to fabricate a delrin top hat for me so what I did was to add one steel washer on the front of the spring to act as an aid when the spring rotates during decompression. If I am not mistaken the JM apex seal is a good aftermarket replacement on the stock piston seal. I am using the Crosman Quest seal right now and my extreme spread is about 13FPS with a 3.84 standard deviation and I am shooting at around 907FPS using RWS Superdomes 8.3 grains pellets. HTH

That's very good to know on the seal and spring interchangeable with crosman's. I have those spares for my G1 & Sierra Pro. Now all I need is the cocking shoe just in case.

I think it would be cheaper to ask Mike Melick for a spare cocking shoe for your B26, Bentong. It has a lot of play in it as the tolerances are not that tight but workable. HTH

When my cocking shoe broke I ordered 2 and 2 extra breech seals from mike. Nice to know I have an extra shoe in my repair box.
