Got two lined ground squirrils with one shot this afternoon. Watched the two from the road alonside the farm field they were in. They moved back and forth and I hoped they would line up for a shot. After a bit they did and I nailed the first with an eye shot and the head of the second in line got the pellet after it went through the first... both dead on the spot. A bit of luck and some patience made it possible.
Otherwise, 7 ground squirrils and two more gophers at that field, four lined ground squirrils near the old church site & graveyard about a mile away.
5 grackles in the trees around our place. Seems the lure of trying to raid our bird feeder overrides their memory of their buddies dropping from the trees.
11 blackbirds in the cattails around the sloughs nearby.
The Evanix Blizzard is sure nice to shoot with the quick follow ups for the next varmint or to quickly finish off one that isn't dead immediately. Helps to keep from letting a wounded animal get away.
The new to me 350 magnum in .22 Cal from Cosmin(bought from the Classifieds on this site) got two gophers today at a bout 25 yards. A nice rifle to shoot. Once I get more used to it I hope I get even better.
Lest you guys think I am this great shot later in the evening I missed 9 shots in a row on blackbirds in a tree at 50 yards. Stopped and pumped up the Blizzard(had gotten down to 100 BAR) and then got the little creep!
