hold it with your hand underneath without any grip whatsoever and you will see tighter groups as i do with my magnums especially my 350m .i learned using the rws48.22 i had and it became extremely accurate no matter what magnum springer or springer u have less of a hold will perfect your skills as i did .

Like many others who have chimed in here, I have a 48 in .177, and I like it.  The gun is a hammer, no doubt: with a home tune it shoots Meisterkugelns at consistent 1020-1025 fps, and will still produce decent groups when benched.  I've taken gophers, pidgeons, crows and magpies with it.  All that said, I'd still like one in .22, probably the model 52, to get a slightly longer stock (me being a tall fellow).

I have a .20 and love it... I'll bet that doesn't help, does it? "Best of both worlds" and all that.
