No rest for the 220.22
« on: May 21, 2007, 10:50:14 PM »
I looked in my icebox the other day and realized that my squirrel steak's were running low, had one for supper leaving me one. I took a break from The Shop, grabbed the Gamo 220.22 and my squirrel call and headed out to the grove of tree's behind my house. As I entered the grove I could hear them chattering up in the tree's so I found some cover, loaded a Gamo Hunter and began popping my call. Well it didn't take long, here come's one chattering because another was in his space. He froze up on a limb at about 30yrd's and was trying to figure out where the invader was , pulled up the 220 and set my crooshair's on him. At that point he spotted me and turned, better take a shot now so I let her loose. Heard the impact and watched him drop, no twitch....he was finished. Got up walked over to my harvest, the Hunter had entered behind his front leg into his vital's. Cleaned my meal on the spot and headed home, could have taken a few more but just doing some selective harvesting . Ed
