Gamo Hunter Sport

Anyone tried this rifle http://www.pyramydair.com/p/gamo-hunter-sport-air-rifle.shtml ? Looks like nice gun with OK price. Is that the standard Gamo powerplant they are using?

Hello rkr,

As for the Gamo, I understand that there are two power plants used in there rifles. One is listed as 1000 fps. with lead pellets, expect 800 fps. And the newer Hunter Extreme, listed at 1250 fps with lead pellets.

I hope this helps.

The Gamo Sport should have the same power plant as the Shadow 1000, Hunter 220, Hunter 440.

What's the story with gamomatic and nitro 17 then? They seem to have less velocity.

BTW, anyone know about shadow RSV, it seems to have bigger silencer than the whisper/CSI.

It looks like the Gamo RSV will be released in Mid August in Europe. The following are the calibers that they will sell. Basicly it is a Shadow 1000 with a sound moderator. It looks like it is an addon sound moderator which is legal in most of Europe. I do not think they will sell this version in the US but you never know..:) It is still rated at 1000 fps with normal lead pellets. Also the ShadowMatic has the Shadow 1000 power plant and I think the Nitro is advertised at 850 fps.

Air carbine Shadow RSV 4,5

Air carbine Shadow RSV  5,5

Air carbine Shadow RSV 6,35
