all this work was done on the mill...no lathe involved..i've found it's easier for me to make the little round stuff in the mill..even the modified hinge bolt was spun up in the mill.
all the work revolves around the recut dovetail..which is machined to the average spring tube readings.
in the same setup the flights/forks are dusted true...then the crappy left side of the tube where the head of the bolt goes..a counterbore appears .:)
some moding to the the bolthead and a new brass thrustwasher and call the tube work done.
straighten the barrel with in .002..remachine the hinge thrustwasher pads true..a couple of new washers.
and this baby should RAWK.:)
