Yeah, except the guy said it was a bolt action springer.  So much for full auto!  But I suppose you could kill something if you did had a full auto airsoft gun, if you were like right next to it.

Didn't he originally say his friend got a racoon at 50yds with an airsoft rifle shooting lead-filled plastic BB's?

There is no way on God's green earth!!!!!!!!!!  The plastic pellets loose so much energy in 30 yards that it just isn't possible.  Besides the fact that they are 6mm and only .25 gr at the most and usually .20 gr.  I shoot airsoft all the time for training in Army.  We do room clearings and forced entries.  Man you don't want a shot from point blank range without a safety mask.  And you sure know you've been hit.  But at 30 yards if you get hit it's like a hard rain drop hitting you.  We have M9 pistols, M-4 rifles, shotguns, AK-47's and even M-249 SAW machinegun airsoft weapons.  They are all shooting between 350 for the pistols and 450 for the rifles, shotguns and machine guns.  Man you DO NOT want to get caught out in the open when your on the wrong side of a M249 gunner, 800 rounds per minute.  You CAN NOT out run that.
