Why do people get so upset if someone leaves the CAPS ON when they are posting . I know it's supposed to represent that the person is SHOUTING. But, it really doesn't bother me at all . Makes it easier to read without my glasses. LOL. kirby

EDIT: As far as shouting goes, it's not irritating--it's mandatory. Since my nose quit working the way it should I tell people: "I don't see so good, hear so good or smell so good.

Seriously though, they're hard to read with all the letters jumping out at you. Myself, I don't read them.

I wear glasses, and ALL CAPS kinf of annoys me. More of an optical illusion thing when the person types a whole paragraph. It seem like all the words just string together. It also reminds me of when I was in the service. ALL the logs were in CAPS, all orders were in CAPS, PM cards were in CAPS... Just about ANYTHING written was in CAPS.


BUT LIKE I WAS SAYING, WHEN A PERSON TYPES IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. EVERYTHING JUST STARTS TO RUN TOGETHER.ESPECIALLYIFTHEY'RETHETYPEOFPEOPLETHATDON'TLIKETOUSETHESPACEBAR.

I've never found it particularly annoying, or really associated it with shouting, other than seeing that it's the normal reaction on many forums and listservs when a message has all caps. Me, I was raised to write good, so I tries to make my English and writin' some kinda readable mostly-- LOL!!! But that's probably the only reason I haven't used the CAPS lock by accident even.

IMHO LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT SUCH A TRIVIAL THING.  What do annoise me da most is peoples whos use bad inglish and dont  spell so good.   :p
