Almost no plastic to speak of, not even the trigger guard.

ok, this aftnoon, after spending 1 1/2 hr with someone who has and shoots one.
(he said its great for getting cats off of garbage cans  in city)      :-)
I now have a new whisper!
since i am parked in large lot in country with a 20 acre feel behind it. I put about 20 pelletts thru it.
first 3-4 shots fire came out of barrel then it started to quiet down some.
I started hearing the pellet hitting the field.
the first cock was hard but then it started to get easier.
now what do I do with my cfx?

Talking Me Out of My CFX Order?
« Reply #17 on: March 06, 2008, 03:43:43 PM »
Are all the nay sayers in this thread trying to talk me into cancelling my CFX order?  I ordered the .177 CFX with the Gas Ram a few days ago along with 4 boxes of CPL that are on back order & 3 - one piece high scope mounts.

I have a .177 CFX on order - hope that it will arrive in a couple days !

My theory is, don't knock it till you've tried it !

i've got ten air rifles, 3-.22's,7-.177's. i was skepticle at first and found it to be annoying how after cocking it, i had to open up the breech to load. i was use to under levers with breeches that opened when you cocked it and break barrels are the easiest to operate when comparing different styles of air rfles. no filling up tanks, no multple pumping, and magazines to reload. still, i like to shoot the cfx the most even though it was my second to last rifle that i purchased. if you don't like it, just send it back, you can get a really nice break barrel with the amount of money that you paid for the gas ram version.
