TASCO MAG 6-24x40
« on: January 12, 2008, 01:26:37 PM »

As many of you know I am always looking for a good buy on a good scope...:) I own a couple of the Tasko Golden Antler 3-9X32 AO air gun scopes. And there are other members on the GTA that have bought them and are very happy with them as I am.

Since the Simmons ProAir scopes have disapeared I have been looking for something comparable with good clear glass for maybe another new air rifle that I have not bought yet..:) It seems at times I fall behind on the scopes.. I like to have a scope on every air rifle I have.. Ya I know you think I am crazy but when I get up in the morning an want to shoot, I do not want to mess with changing and re sighting in a scope and mount on another air rifle... So if I can afford it I will keep buying a scope for every air rifle I own. There is a web sight that I put on a previous post in another GTA forum that I read over and over and concluded that there is another good Tasco Air Gun Scope with more power. It is the Mag 6-24X40AO.. Yes I know it is allot of power for an air gun scope but with other 6-24X40 scopes that I own it is just a matter of keeping the adjustments at a norm. The web site I am refering to is: http://www.lasc.us/RangingShotRifleAirGunScopes.htm

Near the end of the article he states that:
With Tasco, two of their rifle scopes are both mechanically and optically compatible with air gun
shooting. They are the 8 X 40 X 56 Tactical scope and the Mag 40, 6-24X40. Interestingly, this
particular Mag 40 scope is sold in the U.S. as a rifle scope and is sold in Europe as an airgun scope.

So I found a new one on Ebay for an exceptional price of $59.00, so I bought it to check out..:) When I get it, I will mount it on one of my springers and come back and give a full review. This is another scope with a good price by a good manufacturer.

I'm the same way,,, have a scope on every rifle.  Lookin forward to your review on the scope Gene.

Lately I've bought a couple of the Leapers 3x9x32 AO scopes from Optics Planet for $39 bucks w/delivery included.  So far they've really performed well, I really like em.   Will be buying a couple more soon as I'm lookin at a couple of new air rifles......

Gene, did you ever receive the scope and if so, have you tried it out?

You bet Robby..:) I just set up on my new B-40 and it works great...:) I just put a couple hundred pellets through her today with great accuracy I might add. Very clear glass and very sharp. It is pretty long as well but does not weigh as much as a Leapers. I will try and get some pics of the B-40 with the new Tasco scope on it in a couple days.
