Hey Guys/Gals, Tim here. 2 guns sold in an instant, another deal pending,( I think Kent will snap up my deal on the Nitro 17!!)   Seems to me alot of hunters like me here that just dont love an under 500 fps. super accurate plinker? I am trying to type this very quiet as to not hurt  "little Recons" feelings! :0   This was my favorite little cig. butt buster untill I got my Diana 24. LOL!  As I said before,This gun is like new cond., orig. box & papers. To those of you that may like to bring young shooters into this sport, this is what I would consider as one of the best to introduce youngsters to springers.  No scope or mounts. Even as a tame little springer,I must be honest & say you will at least need an inexpensive set of mounts w/ stop pin. (gun does not have open sights) Oops,, no open sights, so not the best gun for a new kid,sorry! A fun gun for adults! $40.  (I paid $100)  Poor little Recon! :emoticon:  Tim.

Other Kent in S. Dak.,, Tim here!  Thanks for the IM. Seems you are one of the "good ones". I commend you for your efforts to a Youth Shooting Club! I will gladly donate my Recon to the cause. Pelletman, Tim here! Its great that you are involved with a youth shooting organization! I will be glad to donate my gun to the cause. Hey Bunky,Tim here! Sorry I missed your mail! If you read the upper posts you will see that I may have worked out a deal w/ "pelletman" to donate the gun to a youth shooting organization. I have not heard back from him yet. I saw that the one & only post he has made here was in response to this gun. I would be happy to donate the gun to such a worthy cause,But, must say I am a little concerned. If I dont hear from him soon,& feel a little more comfortable with this deal,You will most likely soon see the "Big Brown Truck"!! Now I go look for your E-Mail & confide a little further. Sorry I did not reply Bud. Between work,working on airguns for my friends,keeping up w/mail from my airgunfriends from other sites,being a moderator at Kliffs site,,& throw in a dose of "old timers" GEEEEEZZZ! Pelletman, I am curious that you have only made 2 posts here on the GTA and have made no visible contributions what so ever. I have been following this post and I sure hope you are being honest with Tim. Do you have a real name and phone number? I do not see where you have bought or sold anything through the GTA classifieds before. It seems you just popped up out of thin air. Do you have any credentials for charities etc?

As it turned out Pelletman is an honest veteran air gunner. He has an outstanding BOI on the yellow forum and has done a bit of business with CDT in the past. I received an email from Pelletman this morning with his phone number and address in case I would like to contact him. So I apologize to Pelletman for my previous post with suspicious thoughts. Hey Pelletman,Tim here! Please accept my apology, I got things a little "stirred up" here. I was totally wrong & should have done my homework. I am also not a "computer guy". I can barely make posts here! I have to rely on my 21 yr. old daughter to post pics. for me,& we know how reliable that is LOL!! (The wife bought me a book today) computers for Dummys! That would be me!!  Pelletman, I cant find a suitable mount in my stash, To make amends,If you can wait till monday,I will buy a new Gamo scope this weekend & "lock" it down before I ship it to you. Hey Pelletman, Tim here! Ok, I found some mounts, a Crosman set from my buddys gun,(just tuned his & replaced them with a one pc.) Mounted a Gamo scope from my sons Big Cat on the little Recon, Man it looks COOL! The kids are shure to love it! Just shot it about 75 rounds, no scope movement at all. Sighted it in @ 10 yrds. This little gun can shoot! Got one hole groups shooting CP,s. It loves them. I packed it with about 750 of them in the "brown box" with the gun. I just remembered,this gun was one of the first I ever "tuned",must say think I did ok! ( A baby can cock it!) I think your youth group will be fighting over this one! Again my hats off to you for your dedication to teaching youngsters the shooting sports. I am honered to play a small part in your worthy efforts. With Kindest Regards, Tim.  P.S.
