finally im getting a lot better groups @ 25 yrds.i am shooting the crow mags.after about 6 or 7 shots i throw one out their.when i shoot i usually shoot and reload fairly fast.i love to shoot.only after putting just over 300 shots through her im getting some pretty tight groups.you know before i was sure it was the gun but i know w/ groups like im getting and then throwing off is just fatigue.i cant wait until i get around the 1000 mark.i am a lil concerned w/ my trigger.(Bobs trigger)im not sure but i think their is a lil to much play in it when and not cocked.ive never messed w/ the set screws, not until i get some professional advice.now the scope, im not real happy w/ it at all.i didnt like having to shim it,the rear eye cap is a lil loose.no clue how to tighten it.the windage dial wont stay tight and my settings change w/ the recoil of the gun.so if any of you Hunter Extreme owners could give me an idea of a good scope.i want to thank you all for the advice and helping a newbe out.i wanted to put itin the back of the closet and buy another one.now i wanna keep it and still buy something else.thanks again everyone.

nvr2prwd,I like and have had the best results with a Beeman  5039 mount and a Simmons Pro Air 6x18.  I don't think they make that model of scope anymore and thats a shame. It has proven (so far) to be the most durable scope I've ever used on a variety of Extreme's, 1250's, and RWS350's. I've had about 750 shots on an Extreme with a Center Point 4x16 and so far and it's holding.About your trigger. The play you speak of...is that 1st stage take up you are  feeling just before the break? If that is what you are feeling then thats normal and desirable unless its excessively long before the break. If you think its too long talk it over w/ Bob.He Knows. If your trigger is movable to the rear when its not cocked.... that's normal too as long as it returns to its forward position when you let off.
