The anticipation that is. Now that I've sold my Whisper, I was able to safely take my new 440 out of its box which was covertly hidden in the closet under my pile of greasy rags.This gun is super accurate and has very little recoil! I can stay in a 1" circle with open sights at 20 yards which is totally kick butt. The wife sees it and says, "you paint the stock on that thing?" :D  I just kinda nodded and mumbled something as she walked by. I'm always in the back painting stuff, cutting wood, dremeling metal, shooting and doing other things and she thinks I'm either smithing my 1911s or messing with my airguns and so far I've been able to sneak a couple airguns past her. She did notice the dampener on the Whisper and said, "what the hell did you stick on that thing?" I just shrugged and told her I'm experimenting with different designs. Now the "wood colored painted stock" 440 is on the wall, front sight totally fubard from removing it and I'm waiting for my scope which arrives tomorrow, a new GRT-III which should be here in a few days and for Gene to work his magic on a new front grill for her to cover that ugly nipple. This wait is killing me...

Waiting is half the fun ! Then when you have everything, it's time to put it all together and do some shootin :-)



I find, the problem is thinking about your next airgun, thinking some more, and when you finally press the magic order button you want it right NOW !!!



Don't worry buddy, it will all arrive, just about the time the woman of the house, finds some chores for you to do, and you'll need to sneak off into the garage to play with your new shooter !

Don't know about "waiting being half the fun" part. LOL
I've done the Hiroller thing with fishing and hunting things,,, still, nice to take them out.
Gene is doing a tune for me, and a used RWS 48 is coming from Maine as we speak (I hope).
Couldn't do much with them right now anyways so it's really no big deal. But anticipation is what it is. LOL
