Unhappy couple
« on: June 04, 2008, 01:43:21 AM »
Just sitting out on the deck drinking my mornin java and watching the pretty birds have breakfest when this unwelcomed couple arrived. I slowly put my cup down and slid back into the house, ok ladies who want's to hunt this mornin. The Beeman.22, a fine shooter from Peak spoke up so I loaded a CHP and slid back onto the deck. The two intruders were helping themselves to the feed on the ground twenty yards out so I raised her up and placed the crosshairs on the little one first, figured if I hit that one the mate would stick around to call out. The CHP found it's mark dead center and she dropped without a struggle. With that the big guy took flight to the branch above and started to call out, perfect hehehe. Beeman reloaded and CHP away which caught him just below the fusebox and sending him to the earth. Both are resting together now and the Beeman is still on her mark.:) Ed

Way to go Ed. Those Beemans are hard to beat. Looks like you will be razor sharp for your trip up north. Will look forward to more pic's and great stories.

Good shootng Ed!  That "old" Beeman is still dialed in hey?  :)

There is one Grackle I 've been trying to get for a few days now but it keeps evading me.  I took its partner about a week ago and he 's still hanging around but is very cautious and stays at least 35yds away. It flies away at my slightest movement towards a window.  I 'm hoping to setup the bipod several feet from the window and get a shot at it with the 36 if I can spot it again.

Thank's family, the only time I feel on top of the world is when I'm holding one of my babies and zeroing in on a harvest or vermin. Ed
