Hey Peter

Great find Rich. Keep us posted with any further information on availablility etc.

I checked the link. Had seen this before but when I saw how much it weighed, I passed on it..:) Looks like it is based on the Gamo Hunter series. Since I have 3 S1K's now. That weigh less than 7 lbs and shoot in the 900's, I will probably pass on that one..:) My Hunter 1250 Royal .22 pushes 14.7gr pellets out at over 1000fps and and it weighs 9 lbs without the scope. Don't need another one of those either..:)

Thanks again for posting what looks like a nice air rifle..

I wish Gamo would come out with a thumb hole version of the shadow synthetic stock.

This would be the best of both worlds because the synthetic stock is stable in all weather conditions, and  lighter than wood.

Very good point Rich, It would be awsome if we could get the Gamo mod stocks. I have looked around for someone who makes replacement stocks for Gamo but have not seen any yet. Would love to try my hand at making one this winter...:)

I'm with you guys, I want to make a new stock for my CFX.  I want to go the other way though, heavy for bench shooting.  Ever hear of a wood called Ipe?  Fair amount of variation in look, some looks like walnut, some like teak.  Weighs 68-72 lbs/cu. ft.!  To put that in perspective, black walnut is about 38 lbs.  Not something you want to pack around in the woods.  I'm including a picture of the design I want to copy.  Later.

Now that is nice!!!! By the looks of that I can't afford to even look at it, much less purchase something like that.  A work of art, for sure!  You definitely have to post pic of a CFX with that stock configuration.

The wood is beautiful Dave. I like the design without the holes up front but with the weight of the wood  you would need to eliminate as much as you could but keep the aesthetics.

Believe it or not, that stock for a Ruger 10/22 is less than $150!  I just wish they made air gun stocks.  It's also available for lots of other rifles, both rimfire and centerfire.  If you're interested, the site is Richards Microfit Gunstocks, here's the link-http://www.rifle-stocks.com/.  BTW, Gene, the wood is laminated, and available in a rainbow of colors and combinations.  Anyway, that's at least one of the winter projects I have in mind.  Late.

Do you know who makes that rifle for Cabelas?

It looks like a Gamo Shadow. When say 1200 fps with PBA ammo and it comes with 50 rounds that sure sounds like Gamo.

I was thinking of calling Cabela's and see if the sales people know.

I just sold an old ranger 4X4 pickup I had as a winter beater so I have an extra $1000 bucks laying around.

I might just order one. We'll see..........

They also have this one also it's still looks like a Shadow with a wood stock.
$179.95 with a mil dot scope.

I'm hopeful that it's a Gamo because I want that stock for my .22 supreme in the worst way!  The only thing is that the muzzle brake looks like one of the Beeman models....of course then again, my eyes aren't the greatest.
Rich, if you do get one, you definitely have to post the good and bad about that gun here....please. :)
