Best pellets for a pistol?
« on: October 19, 2006, 02:15:20 PM »
I have an RWS c-225 pistol w/ a 6inch barrel. Shoots around 400fps. Just wondering what everyone would recommend for pellets to shoot out of this. I know they all work different but maybe some suggestions as to weight for such a slow shooting gun. Right now im getting about 1.5 inch groups at 10 meters with crossman wadcutters (wal-mart specials).

Thanks in advance guys !

Hi, 88,

Seems like a match pistol should do better than 1.5" at 10 meters!  Have you tried any actual match pellets?  I know JSB has match pellets for pistols and rifles, I've used the Match Diabolo S100 ( the heaviest match) in my CFX with good results.  RWS and H&N also do honest to god match pellets.  As I understand it, you pay a premium price on match pellets for premium quality control.  We all know what Crosman and Gamo's QA is like, just because it says match on the tin...  Sorry I can't be more help here, I'll bet the guy with the answer is Pennsylvania Pistolero.  Good luck.

Oh an im shure it will shoot better than 1.5in, I was shooting from a picknick table with no rest, so tomorrow morning i plan to see what it can really do from a rest :)
