RWS Model 34 Panther
« on: October 20, 2006, 06:03:04 AM »
Hello,

I got my new rifle yesterday. It feels great and looks great. I am cleaning it and putting it together today. I can't get over how good it feels. It looks just like my McMillian stocked  Remington model 700 Classic, .270. Will write more when I get it ready to shoot.

I've been looking at one of them for a couple of weeks now, and plan on ordering one eventually, but have been waiting to read some reviews from actual owners first so I'm looking forward to your review with anticipation.  I recently read a post from another panther owner, on another forum, where he was complaining about very low FPS and that kinda "spooked" me a bit on ordering.  Anyway, congrats on the new gun.  Can't wait to read your review.

Jeff,

I don't have a chronygraph so I want be able to help you with velocity. I got the .177 cal. because that is my favorite cal. I'm still waiting on my model 350. It is a beautiful rifle with a great feel. It came with fiber optic sights but I took them off. The stock is made on the classic style. I read somewhere that the Panther is built on the model 40 action. I'm in the process of mounting a scope and adjusting the trigger. It is light weight and handles like a good centerfire. I will let you know when I get to do some shooting. Road construction in front of my house and a real mess. Best of luck...
