Beeman
« on: December 02, 2008, 12:51:10 AM »
After a nightmare with Gamo and Daisy with parts not available for them, I have found RWS a pleasure with everything available. What about Beeman?? So far, I haven't run across parts for them, not saying they aren't available. Has anyone had luck getting Beeman parts??? Thanks and have a great day - Lee

Beeman is not that easy to deal with Lee. If you call them and find that they have the part you need then the procedure is they give you the amount of purchase and you have to send a check to them. The check has to clear the bank first before they will send the part or parts. In my dealing with Beeman parts, I have had to wait up to 3 months with several calls. They are not set up to sell parts and you have to depend on the person you talk to, to follow through with the order.
THE ONES I SLEEP WITH: BSA Lightning XL, AA TX-200, AA ProSport, BSA Ultra, HW-97K, Crosman NPSS .177, FX Cyclone, HW-30 Nicle Plated, AA-S200, Crosman Marauder, CZ-634, R-9 DG, Webley/Scott UK Tomahawk, Benji Kantana, Benji Marauder, Benji Discovery.....

Beeman does not make it's own guns.  They are rebadged German guns like the HW series, and Spanish (Norica) or Chinese clones.  Unless Beeman stocks parts for the Noricas, those may be hard to find.  (Nice guns, though.)  The Chinese guns will depend upon what they are copies of.  If a popular gun, then you can likely get parts from Crosman or importers like Mike Mellick.  (If you are considering a Chinese gun, he's the best bet, anyway.)

I haven't dealt with them myself, but IIRC , from what I've read, they have a $50 minimum on parts orders , so if you just needed a screw ..... you're screwed . kirby

In my experience Crosman tends to be the best...

...for both availability and price. It's a shame they don't offer springers that are comparable in quality to the Diana guns. The last couple Quest variants I've been through (800X's) have been a bit ugly inside and needed some serious spring tube finishing before they would stop abrading seals so quickly.

The Legacy 1000, in terms of manufacturing quality, seemed to be better - but that gun's been discontinued. And it had that design fluke of a humungous piston weight that gives it a somewhat, uh, unique firing cycle.

So in other words, the most practical gun to own is an RWS?? Crosman still has no parts for the Benjamin Sheridan Super Streak after a year on the market. Works for me, I think the RWS is a great gun!! Also, they have break-barrels, side levers and under levers, something for everyone. Thanks folks and have a great day!! Lee

i called beeman about this cheapo gun i had with their name on it, all i needed was on little piece.  Well the first guy said they dont carry those parts and to call around to the retailers, if i couldnt find it call back and he would send me a new gun.
the second person I talked to scrounged up a similar model parts gun and popped out the piece i needed and shipped it to me completely free.

My experience with Beeman is to use a credit card the total of order has to be $50.00. I'm not sure, but a postal money order would probably clear faster than a personal check.

I wouldn't place any bets as to the long-term availability of parts for their other imports, even for the Cometa-built guns.

The only experience I've had dealing with the Beeman Co. was when I called about some info on my beloved Marksman 0035.Like when it was made,....Don't have a clue based on serial #'s.  At the time,...sometime last spring, they told me it was made by Norica, and that they hadn't done business with the Norica Co. in over 12 years. They did offer to send me an owners manual and when I recieved it, it was a later publication of their Beeman Silver-Bear Deluxe model 0035. I even tried to contact Norica via E-mail, but never got a reply. Maybe if I had sent it in Spanish, they might has answered me. Needless to say, after Bob tuned her, see is a very accurate rifle,....for an 'economy-classed' rifle. Besides the obsolete Web/Pat spring Bob installed,...which is awesome!!!, the only seal he had on hand was a spare Beeman he had laying around (the screw on type). On day I'll see if we can fab up a seal cap and try out one of those world famous Macharri seals and see how she "flies"!!! LOL's Wish the Norica Co. had a distributor in the states. They're really nice shooters,....at least the old ones are!! If anyone would like to see them, just google norica-laurona. They make some "familiar" looking shot-guns too!?!?!?!?! Hmmmmmm, tjk
