That crazy 350!!

I was shooting the other day and noticed that about I kept getting flyers and no matter how hard I try I could not get my groups smaller than about 1 1/2 to 2 inches.  I just chalked it up to the cheap pellets I use to break guns in but my cfx didn't have such large groups.  So I got to thinking and I was using the artillery hold on my 350 because everyone says its very hold sensitive.  Everyone says not to rest your airgun on a rest, always use your hand but even at 10 yrds I was getting large groups.  Well just for giggles I decided to rest it on a small pad I use for the back of my hand and take a few shots. Well all I can say is the look at my attached pics and see the difference.  Group A is a five shot group with the gun rested on my hand.  Group B is a five shot group with the gun on the pad.

My .22 350 isn't hold sensitive at all,,,, it's just point and shoot.  Mine isn't really even "pellet picky" either,,,,, likes a variety of pellets and throws em straight.  Right now I have her set up with predators since it's small game season here now

Oh yeah....   my 350 .22 does the same thing!  Not pellet picky, does 860-868(16 grain) consistently, slightly hold sensitive but much less than the Weihrauch.  I love it.  There was one weekend a while back when using the back of a chair as a rest and this thing was doing 30 yard groups falling within a half an inch.  I was so impressed.  I'd been tinkering with different holds on it and finally figured out what she likes the best.  Guess I've got a good one too.  Gentlemen, we ARE the 350 Mag Elite Force!!!

can the b28 be just as good due to the lenght of the barrel cause im thinking of that 350 mag from midsouth shooters or joe/cuz

i shoot from a roll of air bubble packaging foil (you know those things everyone likes to pop when bored).

i'm guessing the best rest has to be as light as possible, soft and flexible...i'm willing to say an air filled balloon would be the perfect rest since it's extremely light and flexible. i'm reasoning by the fact that a recoiling airgun needs to have the least possible movement resistance, that's why hard surfaces or tight holds wont work.

Jorge, I'm not sure about the B28 being the same or worse or even better for that matter.  I've got an OE 350 Mag spring in the closet and hav been kicking around the idea of purchasing a B28 and putting in that RWS spring to see what the results might be.  In the event I do, I'll chrony the B28(with stock spring) and then once the 350 Mag spring's been put in I'll chrony it and compare the two.

I shoot my 350 .22 from a rest all the time. 75yrd shots are no problem. Handheld equals a lot of wandering at that distance. I use an upright rest about 6ft high and rest the barrel on it...gets the right angle fast, aimed at the hill in back of me. Works good for me. Shot all the vermin and waitin for more to come in. Been that way for a couple of years now.

Jorge, this is not a powder burner. Length of the barrel is irrelevant, unless it’s shorter than 12”. You probably meant a length of the compression tube, which could give you an extra muscle.
