$22.99 with free shipping in CONUS, not a bad deal.  I've seen these on Ebay for awhile, usually about $10 more and usually shipping isn't included.  I bought one cause Daddy is tired of pumping:)  The gauge appears to go to 5000psi, but the listing doesn't state top pressure, I plan to use this with a standard SCUBA bottle for guns with a 2600-2700 fill, so a higher than usual working pressure isn't needed in my case....you can always ask the seller what it's rated at though.

I bought that exact unit from that vendor on ebay 2 weeks ago.   I used the Microsoft live for "buy it now" and saved 30% (a very convoluted way to save $).  Anyway, the fill yoke works great.   I added a 6 inch braided hose to make the fills go easier....

I have a 9" microbore hose I plan to use with female Foster on the end.  I need to call the dive shop tomorrow and see what it'll cost me for a tank.  If I can swing it I'll buy one and stick my old tired pump on the classifieds in a few days.

I bought those last summer but boy did it get ripped on the cost of micro hose and fittings..:( Got a set of two for $$$$$$$. The valve's were the cheapest parts of my setup. Mine are 9" hose's as well Dano..

What is the cost of a 9" microbore?   Where did you buy?  I paid $10 for a braided hose from Mac-1.
I got 2 80 CF scuba tanks for $30 on Craigslist.   They are aluminum but work for me because I'm only filling a Disco.  I will have to pay $60 for a hydro, unless you fellow misers can tell me where I can save on that!

The guy I bought my pump from 2 years ago sent me the microbore hose for free.  I think they are pretty pricey if you go out and buy them, but standard braided hoses waste more air.  There ARE braided hoses that have a microbore inner though I believe, not sure on that though as I have never really researched it hard.  I see $60 as a pretty standard price for a hydro, or I should say $45 for the hydro and then another $15 for the visual to go with it.  At least that's what I have found from the local dive shops, may be cheaper elsewhere, I AM in the northern end of Texas so there aint a ton of SCUBA going on here unless you are diving Lake Worth for old tires...hehe!!  I am going with aluminum tanks also, just don't shoot enough to warrant the cost of a carbon fiber tank and haven't found a place to get one filled locally anyways.  I pumped for 2 years, a regular 80cf aluminum tank will be a step up enough already:)

That is a pretty good deal, but I'm looking for a 80cf tank.  They have those too at $149, but it says the valve will be removed for shipping and will require reinspection.  I called a couple places local today and they quoted me from $179-$199 tested and filled brand new.  I think a visual runs $15-$20, so I'm not sure if I would really do much better, and the shop I buy it might be more willing to fill and help me with any issues if I bought it from them.  The two places I called today knew all about filling airguns, guess I'm not the first:)  Thanks for the heads up!

Normally here in fl. tanks run about $125.00 brand new filled hydroded and visually  too. thats from a dive shop you need to have them hydroed every 5 years and vised every year or no shop will fill them also some shops require that you hold a scuba certification card. used aluminum tanks made before 1989 ( luxfer brand , also us diver , dacor ) also made by luxfer have alloy issues and cannot be hydroed so buying a used tank is a gamble unless you have some money to toss away , ps a hydro and vis includeing the fill is about 30 bucks here, also the tank tester you are looking at for a fill yoke will work and the gauges are useally up to 5500 psi this is because you buy a gauge about twice the pressure so the middle of the gauge is more accurate for reading,Also most aluminun  tanks hold 3000 ps. steel on the orther hand go from a low of 2250 to a high of 3500 psi. I hold a master cert. is scuba as well as nitrox diving. so I know what I am talking about howie1a

I wonder why there is such a price difference?  Maybe just more price competition in an area of the country that actually has a place to dive?  Wonder if it would be cheaper to buy down in south Texas?   Anyways, thanks for all of the info, definately good info to have.  I will buy new I guess, no need to send money off into Neverneverland:)

Dano, I got a 30cf from them, took it to the scuba shop, cost me 15 bucks for inspection,fill and they installed the valve , inspection good for one year, refils 5 bucks. my disco doesnt need much and the 30cf fits the bill .
There was a place in Dallas , cheaper price, but shipping charge plus state tax, ( San Antonio). cost more to buy out of state.

That's called a visuall it is required once a year and is looking for cracks ect. A  hydro is  a pressure test  you  pressurize  the tank to 8  /  5th.s  of the working  pressure  it is done  with  water instead of air since if the tank goes bad it will crack not blow up , it is measured when filled with water under pressure and when the pressure is removed it has to come within a size % of the  original   size or it fails. this is required to be done every 5 years. howie

I went to the SCUBA shop yesterday and picked up my tank, a new 80CF Luxfer 3000psi tank.  The guy at the shop was really nice and explained everything about hydros and visuals.  I also bought a tank boot to keep it from rolling around and the guy at the shop through in an extra valve oring and valve cover.  All totalled I paid $212 out the door.  We also spoke a bit about SCUBA diving which is something I have been somewhat interested in for quite awhile and I think I may take lessons at some point and give it a try.  Was a worthwhile experience to go down to the shop and meet with someone in person to get the scoop.  He was also able to put 3400psi into the tank and said when it cooled I would have closer to 3300psi, which will definately help out with getting more fills.  Fills are $5+tax.  All totally with the fill yoke I bought on Ebay (I already had a hose and extra fittings) I came out under $250 which is in the ballpark of the cost of a new Hill pump.  Thanks again for all of the info,
