The Shop--how technical?

I am new on the forum and was wondering how technical The Shop gateway is proposed to be?  I do not have machinist tools or plan on that level of mods.  I would, however, like to see discussion on basic take it apart and make it better stuff.

How technical is up to the members and there questions, solutions, etc etc. Come on in and read the posts and feel free to ask questions Claird.
