Marauder vs AA ProSport

I found this wonderful forum by purchasing a GRT-III for my gamo bigcat, so this will be my first post.  Hello :)

ok here is my dilemma, i have 10 days to decide if i want to keep my AA prosport.  First off i want to say the Prosport is one hell of a rifle.  it is very beautiful, accurate, quiet and quality made without a doubt best air rifle i have owned/shot.  However, it does have some flaws.  Its not the strongest springer like a magnum but at the same time some cheap magnums are said to not last very long.  The safety can not be reset once turned to fire position. cocking can be hard for the little guy but i manage just fine.  the weight is probably perfect for the gun to help with accuracy but for me it is to much to shoot freehand standing up.

Majority of my shooting is small game then target fun. the 10 shot repeater really has me interested.  before buying prosport i did consider some PCP but the price tag just made me turn the other direction.  well now with this new marauder priced at $500 i could afford this and a pump for now until i get a scuba tank later.  I tried to read as much as i can watch as many videos as i could find on this marauder and i must say it looks to good to not try out.

the main things that i can tell from the marauder vs the ProSport would be the Manual Safety, about 2lbs lighter, 10 shot repeater, PCP meaning no recoil so not hold sensitive and more power.

cons about the marauder vs Prosport would be.  I would eventually spend more money on the PCP wtih a scuba tank, more equipment to carry around the field.

Things the Prosport might have over the Marauder would be the looks.  the AA Prosport looks so good i almost want to not take it hunting and just use it for plinking cause i don't want to scratch it up.

if you guys can think of other differences please add them.  set a side your favoritism for spring/gas and PCP and just look at the 2 rifles.  they are basically in the same price range if you add in a pump for the marauder.  ok so if you could choose one or the other which would it be and what was your deciding factors?

again for my interest is mainly small game hunting so im really looking at that 10 shot repeater.  if i misjudge my mil dot i can quickly adjust and take another shot in seconds vs cock and reloading a springer.

Hi breakbarrel....just writing to welcome you to the GTA forum and family.  If you had posted your thread on the main GTA "Air Gun Gate" it would probably get more viewing....  As for me...I don't own either of the air rifles you mentioned....and the Marauder is actually not out yet......so I can't help you there.  Maybe later some other members will chime in.  If you look at my arsenal below....you'll see that all 3 of my PCP's (AA, BSA and FX)  are multi-shots....I completely by-passed the single shot ones.  I figured if I had a constant air supply....why stop to reload if I can just pull the lever or bolt back and chamber in a new round......  That said....I've only had a few opportunities to chamber in a new round and shoot again at a live target before it took off after the first shot.....that's because it was windy and the wind carried the "pop" and impact sound away.  For regular paper punching....single or multi-shot is fine....no rush there.
