Cleaning things that go "Pfffft! (AA 410 SL XTRA FAC)

OK, GooGone and clean patches I have, but . . .

The full sized shrouded barrel has 6 or 7 inches of shroud before you get to the bore of the barrel.  A soda straw is needed to insert the cleaning line.
Fresh weed whacker line had too much coil memory to insert from the barrel end, even with a soda straw introducer, and from the breech end, it is not possible to push it out the barrel shroud, even with a soda straw in the barrel end.  I switched to a Beeman Zip cleaning kit with a plastic covered wire cable and brass fittings on the ends
 
The open breech of the AirArms 410 SL is about 1/2 inch deep, front to back (same as the thickness of the magazine).  There isn't enough room to snake the Zip line out of the breech.  There is just enough room to use the flat blade of a pair of tweezers to partially thread a patch through the slot on the brass fitting, then after rolling the snake 180 degrees, pinch the threaded end of the patch and pull it half way through the slot.  That done, the patch can be pulled from the breech end out the end of the barrel.  Kind of slow and tedious until you get the hang of it.  Good thing I am not going to be doing this very often.

Two patches with GooGone followed by 4 dry patches (a bit larger and snugger fitting) and the barrel seems nice and clean.

When you said things that go Pffffft, I thought you were talking about that stomach virus that's going around.
I also use the Beeman Zip Kit for cleaning. I find it easier to wrap the cable around my hand, than to use that dinky little brass cross bar. I can just see it folding into a V.
I haven't cleaned my B50 or 909 barrels yet. One thing I like about my puffers is that they don't require near the cleaning regimen of a powder burner. Clean, lap, and wax the bore and just shoot it until accuracy starts circling the drain.
