Food for thought, ...

Food for thought

We’ve all seen the emails about Obama’s citizenship.
This is a new twist we hadn’t known. Interesting.

Common sense will tell you......The question must be asked if you have nothing to hide then what is the big deal in not showing the records.

More questions, and this time some good questions.

While I've little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question: What passport did he use when he was shuttling between
New York, Jakarta, and Karachi?

So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981, without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later? And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta , and Karachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration? The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers.

It makes the debate over Obama's citizenship a rather short and simple one.

Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?
A: Yes, by his own admission.
Q: What passport did he travel under?
A: There are only three possibilities. 1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport,
2) He traveled with a British passport,
or 3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.
Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?
A: No. It is not possible. Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981.

Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling
either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport.

If he was traveling with a British passport that would provide proof that he was born in Kenya on August 4, 1961,
not in Hawaii as he claims. And if he was traveling with an Indonesian passport that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.

Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a "natural born" American citizen between 1981 and 2008.. Given the destructive nature of his plans for America, as illustrated by his speech before Congress and the disastrous spending plan he has presented to Congress, the sooner we learn the truth of all this, the better.

Count me in as one of those inquiring minds who'd at least like to know the answers to these easily answered (by Obama) questions.

I have heard that Obama has spent over one million dollars in legal fees fighting this very issue.

And if he turns out not to to be a "Native Born American", what and who deceived us within the Government that told us he was eligible to run for the office of President. They must pay for their complicity in this fraud !!!!!

And as for the obamanation :(

I have seen this, uh, discussion recirculating on the web and in newsgroups over the last two weeks.  It first made its rounds on the blogs before the election.  You may want to check out some of those blogs; many of the conservative blogs gave up on the story because:

1.  Turns out, Americans could travel freely into and out of Pakistan in 1981.  Thirty day tourist visas were available at most points of entry for the asking.  Evidence was a New York Times travel story from that time and the State Department travel advisory for that country in 1981.
2.  Both major Honolulu newspapers carried Obama's birth announcement in August of 1961.  Info for the announcement came directly from Hawaii's department of vital records.
3.  Because he was born in the US, he could not have had an Indonesian passport under their law at the time.
4.  He didn't need a British passport.

As to money spent on legal fees, check any of the internet-rumor-debunking sites.

Obama should be quite pleased that conservatives keep recirculating this crap.  It makes them look foolish.

Not half as foolish as lefties constantly whining/crying about George Bush. ... What "BO and friends" has done just so far, - has sown the seeds of high inflation next year, not something folks are going to appreciate. He's in the process of turning a wonderful country into a mix between a European state and a Banana Republic. In less than two years, the dollar will become known as the American Peso, - and have about the same power.

Both Bush and Obama are open to valid criticism for their actions.  And we have a duty to pay attention to what our leaders do, what they say, and what they propose.  The consequences of their actions should be openly and intensely debated in forums such as this one.

However, we must have our facts right for the debates to have any value, and we have a duty, when we have questions, to seek evidence of the facts.  The questions posed in the first post did not seem to be an honest effort to seek evidence of the facts, because the questions were widely discussed last year, before the election.  Relatively dispositive evidence from neutral sources is available to answer the questions, and to refute the implied conclusion.

I agree with you that many of Bush's opponents went overboard with their criticisms of him, and played fast and loose with the facts.  That didn't do our country any good.  But it doesn't justify Obama's critics doing the same; we have serious issues facing us (as we did when Bush was president), and we need to discuss them directly.  We do not need to argue over spurious issues.

Shearload et al, ... For every action there's a reaction, I assure you this is NOT a positive. No country can spend money like "BO & friends" just did, without a reaction. It will take time to "play out" while most folks are more interested in American Idol or something else just as important, - this WILL impact them in the months ahead.

Hey again shearload, thanks for your threads, however.....
your number 3 and number 4 points are logically invalid because you make an assumption based on your initial observation that is not yet proven.  How do you come to "he was born in the U.S." at point number 3?  That is the whole question in the first place.  Hyperbole regarding the statement that we have other things more important to be thinking about in the US right now doesn't dismiss the problem of his citizenship.  One can't skip ove facts in hopes of getting to thier hopeful conclusion, and as in my other response to you in another thread, I would like to simply see a REAL birth certificate.  This is so childishly simple that it is a foregone conclusion to me as an eight year ex-state and Federal law enforcement officer that Obo is lying in regards to where he was born.  To me, most importantly, as a follower of Christ and one who believes with every fiber of my being that we are in what scripture calls "the last days", I believe Obo is in office precisely because the Lord wishes him to be there to enact the scenario that will bring Him back to His bride Israel.  That's another topic for another time perhaps, but I feel truly terrible for what I believe awaits Obama and this world including most of his followers because this crowd seeks their own path rather than that of Biblical doctrine, and scripture tells often of what fate awaits those who are given over to their own wants, thoughts and desires, rather than those of our Savior and Lord.  End of sermon, sorry for the digression.  Ross

Noth Pack, I agree we are in for a rough ride.  What does that have to do with Obama's birthplace, or parentage?  Or whether Americans could tour Pakistan in the 1980s?

I don't argue with faith or intuition.  However, I think I could take the evidence of Obama being a natural-born citizen into any court and win a summary judgment on the first motion.  And it wouldn't matter who appointed the judge.

I have confidence, because several other lawyers have already done it.  When you have evidence that will make it past the first court hearing, let me know.
