Yesterday after work I stopped by the pawn-shop to pick up a few tins. Been wanting to try the Beeman FTS's in .177, and bought a few cans. I tried them in my self-tund G1,..and they fit a little looserthan the RWS SD's. The SD's fit,...the FTS's fell in. Matter of fact the first FTS almost slid out during lock-up,...mashed the skrt pretty well and had topull it out and try another. I shot about 25 or 30of these and went back to the SD's for a while. Tried the FTS's in my personnally lubed tuned Sierra-Pro, andd they shot like a dream!!!!.....still gotta get a GRT for her,...but anyways,...I put them up and pulled out the 34 and B-28A for some twilight plinking out the kitchen window. I usually keep my rifles locked in a gun cabinet. But when I'm home,..I'll pull the G1 out just to have around. Well this was the case scenario last evenning. After I shot the big boys, I was fartin' round in the kitchen and decided to shoot a few before it got too dark. Up comes the G1 from the rest,...aimed at my long distance disks,...and Bang,...What the,.......I know I didn't dry fire it because I checked,...and I'd have heard the pellet hitting the hard wood floor. OK,...you'll have this once in a while. So you know the story,...let's try this again. Loaded another SD,...aimed,...and BANG again. Now I'm getting a little corcerned. I thought about it today, and checked the specs in the library. The SD's are ligher by .34 grains,...but the FTS's are .004" smaller in skirt diameter. Hmmmmmm, Could this have anything to do with it?

I wished I'd chronied the FTS's when I was trying them out. Didn't notice any major dieselling either,...and they sounded about the same as the SD's. Good news is I tested out the G1 with SD's through the chroney,..and we're still at the same area of velocity!!! Took out three Grackles today as well. So any thoughts of this sudden "burp" from the G!?!??!? Thanks, tjk
