It was converted to a .20 carbine (was originally a .22) before I got it so I really can't say. As far as accuracy, I'll get a good group going at 10m (that's 0.5" for me) then loose it (I'll end up with a 1+" group). It's not the gun because I do the same thing with my .177 prosport which I know is a tack driver. But then again, I'm not much of a shot. As far as what I've heard, shortened barrels on springers don't impact accuracy like powder burners. As a matter of fact some say accuracy may improve due to a shorter "lock" time.
