Discovery Refinish Complete
« on: July 14, 2009, 11:33:32 AM »
Well,,,, almost. Needs a couple more hand rubbed coats of paste wax but looks pretty sweet already. 10 coats of laquer sanded & 4-0000 steel wool with 4 coats of wax makes for a nice looking finish. Added a white spacer & sanded perfectly flush also. This stock looked horrible before & would litteraly give you splinters from raised grain & lack of finish. There was no way I was gonna sell it like that. I been wanting to get around to refinishing the stock & muzzle "break" for quite some time now. Darn shame I waited untill I was selling her. She looks so sweet I kinda wish I had not sold her!! I think ZITRO will be very happy with her. Tim.

Very Nice Job Timmy !

It's a shame your gonna sell her now ? Right after you made her look so nice !

But,, the infatuation of an airgun only lasts until the next one comes along :) !

Enjoy your new Marauder,,, for as long as that lasts.......

Sorry Dave,,,, I forgot about Yer PM. I been so busy from being behind since I got home from Genes Im goin crazy!! This may sound crazy but,,,,, I cut up a tupper ware lid for the last 3 white spacers I have made. Works well for me as I can sand them with 320 sand paper at high speed with an orbital sander & they fit perfectly flush!! Works with hard plastic or rubber butt pad!!Tim.
