would appreciate this one.
She is cut from an old piece of black walnut that is almost purple in places.
I put well over 100 hours in this one but learnt a lot.
Cheers, David.

Good job Sniper69, I started my stock on lunch break today, thanks to ya motivational speech. I found all the wood I needed and got what needed glued up,glued up. By the way what stain did ya use on that hunter stock, when I start staining I like to take samples of a lot of different colors. I got plenty of scrap and access to bout any stain made. Allen the owner of company I work for told me to help myself. We have known each other for years. I have worked there 13 years . Well I wont be posting any pic's of it for a while as I will be lucky to work on it hour and half a day. AKJC1977

I did the same, A little work on it between the paying jobs, an hour here and there.
I used an early american Minwax oil, just rubbed it in as you would any other oil, and wet sanded it with the stain.
It is dark enugh to stain the Beach but hardly changeg the Walnut.

Yeh, That walnut is some tuff stuff,as a person soon reminded when they start working it. I bogged a very big table saw down at work cutting that 5/4 glued up double yesterday. AKJC1977
