Just want to express my thanks in 2 different directions- Just went to pcp after owning several springers- and after much research went with the Discovery through Mac1-for an extra $25, I recieved an excellently tuned rifle, shooting 1/4"in. groups at 25yds.almost immediately(took 7 shots to Zero)Got a beautiful grained stock(un-like some I have heard of),spring tensioner-preset to ideal tension, polished ramp, lighter trigger spring, etc. As some have said, the Disco is loud. Not a big issue where I'm at, but for hunting its always good to have quieter . Went to Mike @ TKO for one of his LDS's and once again am truely thrilled at a product that works as advertised.I've shot ~ 1000 rds. through my Disco and know that "BLAT"(compared to a CB cap).Got his work today- took 10 min. to unscrew Disco front sight and install the brake.First shot after installation you think something is wrong with the gun only to realize the only noise you are hearing is the hammer spring!Amazing.Put on paper@ 25yds and no change in accuracy.I would highly recommend both of these individuals to anyone planning on purchasing this rifle.

Hi Steve. I'm looking at the Discovery also. Had one ordered from Sunshine Airguns but their not returning my e-mails  and their phone has been disconnected, don't know what's going on there. I may just end up going with the Mac 1 like you did.  What kind of air source are you using, tank or pump? If your using a pump, which one did you get.  Thanks,

Charlie,

Got the combo through Mac1 for $425(pump and gun) he charges $25 more than Crossman- but for the things he does to it: worth probably $100 more- plus his dad was Crossman dealer back 50 years-believe he gets the better quality stuff, stocks ,etc. his work on the trigger alone is worth the extra, but he crowns the barrel, polishes the loading ramp, and puts a spring adjuster on ,also.ONLY WAY TO GO!-as far as air source, apparently the pump has issues-but from what I've researched, they're coming out with better seals or re-build kits- main thing is take it EASY- pump 25 give it a rest(and you) pump more-tends to heat uo and burn seals- saving mine for top-offs when tank gets below 1200psi. Tank was 3300 PSI aluminum(80 cu.ft.) After fill drops to 3000 because of cooling- good for 75-80 fills from 2000 to 1000(30-35 shots in this range) takes ~ 10 sec. to top off"too easy" Paid $169 for tank & $90 for Crossman scuba yoke. Fills are $5.00- should get 2500 shots for that- I'm 56 and work too hard- don't feel like pumping anything but my" SWEET THANG"
You can't go wrong with this setup- if noise is an issue- go with TKO muzzle brake"totally Quiet" Shooting 1/4 " groups @ 25 YDS

Thanks for the info Steve. A tank is defintely going to happen for me. I'm 61 and don't want to have the big one pumping  an airgun, Ha Ha. I'm going to get the muzzel dohicky to because I hear their loud. Again, thanks for the info it's been very helpful.
