I read a thread on the I think it was the Gamo Gate that said there is a thread somewhere on this forum that explaines how to make/use a homemade? spring compresser.  I want to check out the Air Hawk and G1 Xtreme spring tubes and seals I just bought.
You all have a SUPER three day weekend and enjoy being in America. ebnes :)

click on the "Library" link at the top.  Look under "projects" for the cdt spring compressor.  Also there have been other posts that you could find through the search function at the top.  Just type in "spring compressor" in the keywords box and make sure you click on "search all posts"
