I've never shot a springer any other way, except from a "rest" - with a loose hold.

Well I do a lot of squirell hunting this time of year, I used to use a .22 powderburner but a using a air rifle can be more challenging, you have to get closer(usually) but they have their good points too, the game isn't as skitish when you take a shot, instead of all the squirrels running for cover and hiding for long preriods of time, they just keep right on about their business. A lot of times with my MM tuned B26 .22 is so quiet they never even know what happened until one of their buddies falls out of the tree, and then they still don't know what happened. And I can easily take squirells with it up to 40 yards, when I get my TF89 back I expect that range will increase by another 25 to 30 yards, only because it hits a lot harder, it was twice as loud as my B26 before the tune but I know that will change after the tune.
Mike Melick tuned Bam B26,with  Leapers 4x16x40ao scope,Gene turbo tuned TF89 with Barska 3X12X40A0 scope and More powder burners than you can shake a stick at.                  Gun control is hitting what your aiming at
