RE: CO2 PCP or HPA

You really can't go wrongwith anyone of those choices.

Just remember that you are limited to spring/summer and indoors for the CO2.

The QB is the way to go if you will stay CO2. You can tune away and still stay cheap.

Forget about the TF-78... I'll believe their ready for sale Dec 2009 statement when I see it.

You know Gene, at first I thought you posted this in the wrong section.

Then, I figured you were reading up on the TF PCP and they struck a nerve so I just past on it.

But, you got my interest up, and I started looking...

Not only Compasseco, but RWS and Umarex recommend putting 2 drops of chamber oil in the piston chamber to lube the seal every 1000 shots.

They say that a small amount of dieseling is normal and the oil is required to maintain seal longevity.

This might require it's own thread don't you think? It goes contrary to everything I know about springers. Which of course I learned here.

I have both a Mac 1 Discovery .22 and a Hammerili 850 HPA .177....I could not be more pleased with these two rifles...

Discovery Chrono: 906.3 FPS AVG on JSB 14.3 gr...ES=25.4...SD= 6.93 (25 good shots per 2000 psi fill)..

850 HPA Chrono: 961.7 FPS Avg on JSB 10.2 gr....ES= 15.9...SD= 5.5  (80 shots per 3000 psi fill)

Scuba:80 cu/ft from Sport Chalet..$149...

Although the TF 78 looks tempting...best to wait user reviews...particularly barrel accuracy...
