How to remove bolt?
« on: November 20, 2009, 09:54:33 AM »
Hey, anyone know how to remove a Marauder bolt?  I just received the new one and need to put it in.

Found it, really simple.  What oil can I use on the bolt?  I have Beeman No. 5, and I have Hoppe's oil (for firearms).  Thanks.

There is a screw at the end of the scope rail that you loosen & a screw on the left side of the bolt slide that must be completely removed & you're done.  The lube that comes from the factory is more of a grease for metal on metal contact.

Thanks.  I found how to take it off, and finally got it all figured out - for now, lol.  What "grease" would you recommend?

Divers silicone grease is the stuff to use......  or,,,, you can just wipe off some of the grease from the old bolt assembly  :)

Hey, I am going to get my scuba tank topped off tomorrow, so am I safe to assume the diver's grease will be at the shop?  Thanks.
LOL, good idea about the old bolt, but it is just a film of grease, not enough to lube the bolt I think.
