im new to the forum and dont know where to post this ?
i have a rws scope and need to sight it in
i noticed there is a screw on the bottom of the scope is this a set screw ?
do i need to loosen the screw before sight in?

Probably a locking screw for the focus ring. I don't think you need to loosen any screw on the scope.

You don't hear much about RWS scopes but I  really like the one I have on my Compact Pro. To get some good scope info go to the library section of the forum it's in green at the top of this page right side. When you get into the library section go about half way down on the left side and check out Scopes and Optics heading "All about scopes" is a good place to start. Also on the right side Technical Information the link "Air rifle Technical Demos" has some good info. The screw your talking about is not for sighting in. Welcome to the forum and good luck.

i have a rws 300 scope on my cometa and its clear and very decent do not unscrew anything on the scope might cause problems if u do .what model do u have...jorge
