Still Shaping,,,, :)
« on: November 29, 2009, 11:40:21 AM »
Im still shaping on 001 Marauder stock. Im not getting in no rush on this one Folks. While 001 was destined to go to my Dear Friend CDT,,,,,, Im having second thoughts on that now. Now that I have figured out how to plane down any kind of wood to paper thin thickness for that super classy Air Arms look for spacers,,,, Im thinking 001 will just become my "Master" to copy?? Besides,,,, its kinda a plain chunk of Walnut & I want better for "Mr Bob"!! (Kimmie Sue is the best daughter ever) HA! By kimmie! Either way,,, "Mr Bob" will be getting what I DEEM # 001!! Just not sure yet?? Dont worry Bob,,,, Im learning all the tricks of the duplicator & NO ONE will have one just like yours!! Special hidden engraving also!!  Nuther few days of refining the final shapeing & I should be ready to start producing Marauder stocks!! This aint easy to do just right Folks,,,, trust me!! Dont worry Folks,,,, alot of the lines in the pics will be faired over,,, just gotta have even lines on both sides before you fair them over to make sure both sides are identicle. ( Ambi Stock)  I think I have just the right amount of palm swell going on. While I am looking for "Purdy",,,, I am striving for form & pure functionality Folks. Again,,,, I want to thank Steve Corcorain of Woods & Water for all of his help. Steve as many of you may know is a custom stock builder extrodinare that has taken the time to help me with MUCH advice. You can see his custom stocks at Airguns Of Arizona. Thanks Steve. Also,,,, My new buisness would not have ever been possible without the financial/moral support from My Buddy Bob Werner ("Charlie Da Tuna"),,, THANKS BOB!!!!!! Stay "Tuned" Folks,,,,, Tim.

Timmy:

Excellent work!  Sorry, can't seem to delete the duplicate attached pic.  Fortunately your woodworking skills far exceed your photography and computer skills, bro.

Lookin' good Tim!!!

Speaking of Steve, went and visited him at his place last Friday.  Ya see, I've been looking at his new showroom, or at all of the cool airguns he has there I should say.  If you haven't seen it, he has a new website up and running at http://www.airgunsoftexas.com now that he is selling guns as well as custom stocks.  Cool stuff for sure.  Wish a had a little of the talent you guys have doing wood work.  Keep it up!!!

Boy Timmy,

I hope that your still not waddling on that stock !

Cause you'll either end up with the smallest stock on Ripley's Believe it or Not ! Or a toothpick :(
