Spring or PCP
« on: December 09, 2009, 03:11:06 AM »
Why is it everytime I pick an AG to shoot its always seems to be a springer? Earlier this year I bought an FX Cyclone .22 so I could be on the darkside fantastic in one word:)  It is with out a doubt the most accurate pellet pusher i have ever seen:) But I still grab my springers 9 time out of 10 it must be some weird vioce saying springers are in your blood careful of that darkside calling!? Anyway I have been concidering thinning out the flock and  just have ones I like and use the most.  Funny that this morning I felt like I could sell the FX and not the diana54!! What the heck is going on, has anyone else had this attachment to springers over PCP or is just me?  I know I would like thinout but geez its hard, Tony.

i love springers myself i had the discovery my children bought for me in august but they took it to maine for when i go up there so i guess they liked it but as for me i stay with springers cause im use to them and i shoot them well enough .my qb78d is a excellent shooter also plus i cant afford a pcp then pump or tank na not for now. u r not alone when i shot the disco i was amazed but i didnt care as if they was to take a springer .its the feel of the springer and the hold we have on them is what makes us use to them and honestly they r very addicted.we r both springer people and others will chime in and probably say the same .we r not alone hehehehe make it sound like aliens r among us with there pcp,s hehehe..... jorge

I love my springers alot too.....those are the ones I grab first.  That's because usually I don't intend to shoot past 50 yards....more like 40 yards.  But if I'm planning to shoot past 50.....all the way up to 80 yards.....it would be my PCP's I'll be grabbing for that day.  At a 100 yards....I can nail soda cans 1 out of 4 shots.....not proficient enough to get good groups yet.

I'm a springer guy at heart, love the challenge of shooting em with some accuracy. :) I did receive my first PCP shooter from Santa Gene :) and am growing fond of her very quickly, she's a keeper. :) Ed

Love my Marauder, but since the move she's not gassed up, in the safe, tank is down the hill, etc...

There is a Russki MP513 by one door and the Cometa by another. Seems whenever something needs shooting around here, the springers are at my beck and call. They are still doing the job if I do mine, and I will not be giving them up (may need to thin the herd one of these days, but that is another matter).
