The Makings Of A "Master Blank",,, :(
« on: December 13, 2009, 11:58:49 AM »
Gotta tell Ya Folks,,, this aint easy. Im running WIDE OPEN on several differant projects. While I am waiting on one to "Dry" Im back on another. I am working HARD on the Disco & Diana 34 stocks right now. One thing I learned,,,, on my "Master" it aint got to be pretty. It just has to be PERFECT before I duplicate it. I took a trip down memory lane today,,,,,,, I used good Ole "Bondo" again!! I forgot how easy that stuff is to shape!! Kinda funny how it all comes back to Ya. Smelling that polyester body filler sure brought back memmories of shaping a fender on a 100K BLACK car!!My Masters dont need to be perfect looking,,, only perfectly shaped!! Heck,,,, if I go "Belly Up" I can send them to Ed (Shadow) for a Camo Paint Job!!LOL!!. Timbo.

I'd suggest giving them a few coats of Fiberglass Epoxy Resin after they're all done. Should make them last forever! I know how the stylus on those duplicators likes to cause press marks.
