It's from Santa. A new Crosman 800X, but the box reads, trigger is new and improved (or as they say in Ballard " ya sure U bet cha") Charlie's list suggests a GRT-III fits. The trigger is not plastic. It passed the magnet test and it looks like a Gamo clone. No riveted assembly. Has anyone out there had any experience with replacing the new and improved with a GRT-III or does the 800X go back?

I've read that the new triggers coming in the Crosman gus are metal and 2 stage adjustable. That may not be true with all but, the NSSP guns forsure.

Don't really know about the "new" 800X trigger, - but if you can install a GRT-III trigger, do it. Then, use the gun for awhile, maybe 1000-2000 shots or so. After that, put a few bucks aside, and have Gene do a "Turbo Tune" on it. - Trust me, you're gonna LOVE that 800X. - A complete tack driver, ... ;)  ... Goes without saying, I have one, and have done that - and it's "quite a gun".
