Man you aint kiddin!!! I watched your utube videos and I remember you sayin that about a squirrel that you shot. Dang that was a big hole in that squirrel!!!

When I'm shootin my WFH .25, there just is no question about wether you hit what you was aimin at. If you hit, there is a "smack!!!" that lets you know that you did not miss!!!

I LOVE that smack. Now I'm all fired up, I'm gonna have to put down the Marauder, go shoot the WFH, then run back in the house before the nieghbors get bothered. Ha!!! Gotta love my airgun friends!!!

You ordered some Rhinos? Cool!!! They are a GREAT plinker pellet, so's we can keep the Moskeeters for special times. If your gun likes um that is. They do reall good in my WFH. Caught a skunk right between the eyes out at about 40yrds one night with those Rhinos. That skunk just dropped without a twitch and then I heard that smack come back, and that was a good night!!!

Yep, there's always room for more airgunners, and we dont care what kinda airgunz they are, as long as theys safe and you love doing it. We all love shooting and tinkering, seems like. Some of us are...well...addicted you might say. We cant help ourselves when the order finger starts twitchin, we gotsta order more gunz an pellets, and someone else has to stop us or else we just keep on orderin!!! Usually thats the wife or significant other sayin "you dont need no more gunz" or "how many pellets do you gotta have?"

Some of us (like me) have "alternate recieving routes" set up, so we can covertly get our stuff from the UPS driver and smuggle it in without the wife knowin about it. My secret route is hangin outside shootin, while listening for the familiar drone of the UPS truck engine. I've already checked the tracking# and know its out for delivery. Then I go thru the backyard gate, to the front driveway, where I meet the driver as he's comin outta the truck. Then I get my stuff and go back thru the gate and into the garage for a quick stash. Go inside and check out what she's doin...ok she's upstairs reading. Now I can go out in the garage and hide behind the 6 foot shelves that I have set up, and gloat over my new loot. I catch hell if the driver makes it to the door and rings the bell...especially if the loot needs to be signed for. If she has to sign for it...oh man...I'm dead. She's gotta know what it is, and if its gunz or pellets I gotta hear the whole nine yards about how I already have 53,000 pellets (hee hee way more than that)and nineteen pellet gunz (pretty sure theres more than that), and when will it stop..."over and over" she says. Then we have a discussion about shoes, purses, dresses, makeup, and hair coloring....each one has its purpose and my pellets and gunz are the same. Then there's peace until next time...which could be later that day or even tomorrow. I gotta buy everything now, in case the pellet prices go up, or somethins not made anymore like them skeeter .25 pellets. By the way...just ordered several thousand H&N Baracuda .22 pellets, a few minutes ago. The justification inside my head was "I better get some more now. I think the price is gonna go up or they are gonna go out of stock like they frequently do at Pyramyd"

Are you in the same boat Oz, or has the bug not quite bitten that hard yet? You know about PyramydAir?

Welcome aboard Ozell. Until you get fixed up on a tune or gas ram for your Gamo you might want to look into getting a GRT111 trigger to replace your factory stock trigger.Seems a lot of folks complain about the too heavy factory trigger on just about every Gamo rifle made and the GRT111 trigger improves it--a lot. Easy drop in for not much money.Good luck with your new rifle.

Welcome to the family Ozell! These guys are great, you'll like it here if your bank account can handle it that is.

I would love to see some velocities from that thing. I am torn between a new sidewheel scope for the 350M or the HE in .25 cal. The scope is on sale right now at PA. I held an HE in .22 one time and it just fit me right. I got such a great deal on the 350M though that I couldn't pass it up. After experiencing the quality of my Diana my Gamos feel cheap when I pick them up. That HE didn't feel that way though except the bull barrel looked and felt as though it could have been done better.

Hope you get that chrony soon!

speaking of Rhino pellets....
« Reply #25 on: January 15, 2010, 02:41:15 PM »

Ozell, I hope you are still out there listening...

I have found that, withthe WFH, the 19 grain Rhino pellets work well, and are an excellent economical multi-purpose pellet. But a slight modification needs to be made to each one. In my WFH, when I put the pellets into the breech, the skirts seemed just a little to small. I felt that the skirts needed to be expanded a little. So I put together this simple little device that expands the skirts a little with a light tap on the head of each pellet. The pic below is of a common grommet, and a 1/4" ball bearing inside of it...and a Rhino pellet sitting almost on top of the ball bearing. You slide the pellet over a little so that the skirt of the pellet sits directly on top of the ball bearing, and push the pellet into the grommet, whichkeeps the pellet from falling over. The pellet should sit into the grommet nice and straight, and you can manipulate it with your fingers to get it straight up and down. Then, you rap the top of the head of the pellet lightly with a small hammer or mallet, thereby expanding the skirt of the pellet ever so slightly, or as much as you want with more slight taps of the hammer. This mod brought my velocity up from 800fps to 850fps, and groups got tighter too.
